About Joel Marsh


Joel Marsh has over two decades of experience first as a typographer, then gradually attaining the ranks of production artist, desktop publisher, graphic designer, and within the last 13 years, web designer. His work can be found in such varied places as the magazines International Male, Undergear, the Kalmbach Publishing magazines and web sites, as well as fullblownmargaret.com and soon Town and Country Motorsports.

Joel keeps up with the latest graphical software applications and technologies available today. He is an avid reader of industry publications including New Architect (formerly Web Techniques), Dr. Dobb's Journal (formerly Software Development), Linux Journal, and Java Developer's Journal, as well as somehow finding the time for Forbes/Forbes ASAP., and The Wall Street Journal.

He graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelors in English, and has numerous certifications in the latest web technologies at San Diego State and Grossmont College. He continues his education by attending as many seminars and workshops as possible, reading online technology articles on a regular basis, and joining in online forums found on Tek-Tips.com, the Sodaplay Java/A.I. website, and the Sun Java Community.

High motivation, quality-minded, and attention to detail find Joel at work. At play, he can be found at Packer and Badger games, biking, camping, setting his house ablaze attempting new cuisine, and spoiling his lovely wife.
